I have shot guns before and this guy was not "leaning into the shot", which means leaning forward toward what your aiming at. Look at Cops when they are in a standoff with a suspect or pointing their gun at a suspect and you'll see they aren't leaning away.
Also I am not a gun smith and by no way a all knowing shooter but that guy might have not been holding the gun correctly so make the gun fly out like that. Basically he was holding the gun but not gripping the gun.
Also I would shoot up from a .22 till I found my upper limit and not go above that limit, until I felt, maybe I can handle something one step up. Try that one step and see if I could handle it.
Also the .50 cal revolver he's holding is the most powerful, mass production revolver on the planet.
